The Ford Mobility Motoring Program, available from Lake Keowee Ford in Seneca, SC, - serving Anderson, Clemson, Pickens, Easley, and Greenville, SC, and Lavonia, GA - helps drivers with disabilities afford the equipment they need. If you or a loved one need special equipment to get around, it's imperative that your transportation accommodates these devices.
Lake Keowee Ford wants you to have as much freedom to get around as possible. That's why we offer our Ford Mobility Motoring Program. You can receive up to $1,000 in reimbursements for the installation of adaptive equipment, or up to $200 for the installation of hearing alert devices, lumbar support or running boards.
- Customer must be the end-user of the vehicle that requires installation of qualifying adaptive driving or assistance equipment, or passenger aid equipment.
- The end-user may also be defined as an organization, church, assisted living facility, nursing home, municipality, city, state or federal government.
- Claims may be made for adaptive equipment required by a family member of the owner/lessee of an eligible vehicle, providing the equipment is permanently fitted to the vehicle.
Eligible vehicles include all new Ford cars, vans, CUVs, SUVs and trucks that are purchased or leased through the Ford Mobility Motoring Program. To receive reimbursements, adaptive equipment must be installed within one year of purchase or lease contract creation date. New vehicles acquired from a U.S. Ford authorized Pool Converter are also eligible.
*Note: Used vehicles, including those previously in rental service, lease service or repurchased vehicles available for resale are not eligible.
Within confines of the program, adaptive equipment is defined as devices that make it easier for drivers with permanent physical disabilities to drive or be transported in a vehicle. If drivers need major structural vehicle modifications to accommodate wheelchair lifts or ramps, they must be completed by a Ford-authorized Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) to receive funds.
*Note: Raised roof and lowered floor conversions alone do not meet the eligibilty requirements. Documentation must show that mobility adaptive equipment (such as a wheelchair lift, ramp or adaptive controls) was installed on the vehicle.
