Local Business Raises $24,000 for The Breast Care Center at Oconee Memorial

Lake Keowee Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Lake Keowee Ford pledged to donate $100 for each new vehicle sold in October to the Breast Care Center at Oconee Memorial Hospital. This pledge was made in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in an effort to support neighbors who are currently battling breast cancer.

The Breast Care Center at Oconee Memorial Hospital was created to deliver the best possible medical care in a private, comforting setting. The Breast Care Center offers the best in diagnostic services, including digital mammography, the most effective method of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.

When the month ended, and the sales were totaled, 240 vehicles were sold. This means a donation of $24,000.

General Manager, Mark Williams presented a check for $24,000 to Cortni Nations, Manager Oconee Memorial Hospital Foundation, and to Hunter Kome Chief Operating Surgeon on Tuesday at Lake Keowee Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Hwy 123 in Seneca SC.

Mark Williams said, “I want to thank everyone who came out and purchased a vehicle and made this possible. I also want to thank my team here and at Lake Keowee Ford, for working so hard to make sure that our customers had a great experience. But most importantly, I want to thank the staff at Oconee Memorial Breast Care Center. My family has been touched by breast cancer, and I know the folks over there do a great job. I hope this donation can help women in our community get the care they deserve.”

Cortni Nations said, “Mark and the staff at both Lake Keowee dealerships have helped us for years. This year they exceeded all expectations with the donation of $24,000. We are overwhelmed by the support and generosity of Mark Williams and his staff here at Lake Keowee Chrysler, and Lake Keowee Ford.
